Itinerary

DAY 1

Day 1: Arrival in Leh

Morning: Arrive at Leh Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport and transfer to the hotel. Check-in and rest to acclimatize to the high altitude.
Afternoon: Meet and greet with fellow travelers. Leisure time to explore the local market.
Evening: Welcome dinner and orientation session.
Overnight: Stay at a hotel in Leh.

DAY 2

Day 2: Leh - Local Sightseeing

Morning: Visit Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace, and the ancient Namgyal Tsemo Monastery. Afternoon: Drive to Magnetic Hill, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, and the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar Rivers. Evening: Return to Leh for dinner. Overnight: Stay at a hotel in Leh.

DAY 3

Day 3: Leh to Nubra Valley

Morning: Drive to Nubra Valley via Khardung La (the worlds highest motorable road). Afternoon: Check into the camp/hotel and visit the Diskit Monastery and the giant Maitreya Buddha statue. Evening: Enjoy a camel ride in the Hunder Sand Dunes. Overnight: Stay at a camp/hotel in Nubra Valley.

DAY 4

Day 4: Nubra Valley - Turtuk Excursion

Morning: Drive to Turtuk, a picturesque village near the Indo-Pak border. Afternoon: Explore Turtuk, visit the local market, and learn about the Balti culture. Evening: Return to Nubra Valley. Overnight: Stay at a camp/hotel in Nubra Valley.

DAY 5

Day 5: Nubra Valley to Pangong Tso

Morning: Depart for Pangong Lake via the Shyok River route. Afternoon: Arrive at Pangong Lake and check into the camp. Spend time exploring the lake’s stunning surroundings. Evening: Relax by the lake and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere. Overnight: Stay at a camp near Pangong Lake.

DAY 6

Day 6: Pangong Tso to Leh

Morning: Early morning visit to the lake to witness the changing colors of the water. Afternoon: Depart for Leh, stopping at Chang La pass and visiting Thiksey Monastery and Shey Palace en route. Evening: Arrive in Leh and check into the hotel. Overnight: Stay at a hotel in Leh.

DAY 7

Day 7: Leh to Kargil via Alchi

Morning: Depart for Kargil, visiting Alchi Monastery and Likir Monastery en route. Afternoon: Continue to Kargil and check into the hotel. Evening: Explore the local market and interact with locals. Overnight: Stay at a hotel in Kargil.

DAY 8

Day 8: Kargil - Drass Excursion and Return to Leh

Morning: Drive to Drass, known as the second coldest inhabited place in the world. Visit the Drass War Memorial. Afternoon: Return to Leh, stopping at Lamayuru Monastery en route. Evening: Farewell dinner with cultural performances. Overnight: Stay at a hotel in Leh.

DAY 9

Day 9: Departure from Leh

Morning: After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your onward journey. Afternoon: Departure.
